another指同类中的另一个，其后跟单数
如：I want another apple.
other 形容词性，泛指其它的
Do you have any other questions?
而 other+名词=others
others名词性，泛指其它的
Is there any other students in the classroom? =Is there any others in the classroom?

the other形容词性，特指其它的(指定了一个范围）
I study so many subjects at school. I like English, math and music, but I don't like the other subjects. (the other subjects.=the others)
所以同理the others名词性，特指其它的

other 和another 都用于3人以上的指代，前者接复数，后者接单数
others 指其他的人且人数大于等于3
the other 是两人中的另一个

any other是除某一个以外的其他
Tom is taller than any other boy his class.

the other是在两个之中，除某一个以外的另一个
This one is mine,the other is yours.

the others有“别人”的意思，也作“其余的”，表示在一个范围内的其他全部,后面不跟名词
They are playing ping pong,the others are playing tennis.

another是除了这三个或三个以上的，其余的另一个
